Fortunately, I no longer have to search out shiny Pokémon, something I've never had the patience for.
Shiny Pokémon are extremely uncommon variations of Pokémon that have a unique color palette. In general, your chances of seeing a shiny Pokémon are about 1 in 4,096. But today, thanks to a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet exploit, anyone can capture one in under an hour and without any special equipment.
I used a guide from the YouTuber PhillyBeatzU, and it was a total success.
I initially went to a Pokémon outbreak, which is an occurrence where a lot of the same Pokémon hatch in one place, as instructed by PhillyBeatzU. Open your map, then check for any Pokémon that appear on it with a bright red emblem behind them (you can locate one by doing this).
When you arrive at an epidemic, you must battle at least 60 Pokémon. You can accomplish this with manual fights, but Let's Go is much faster, so I advise just sending out your best Pokémon and using auto battles to eliminate numerous Pokémon. According to the math of one shiny hunter, after you defeat more than 60, your shiny spawn rate will increase to 1 in 1,365.
Next, locate a picnic area within the epidemic, set it up, and then pack it all back up. Run around the epidemic area and look for a shine each time you pack up your picnic; if you don't see one, repeat. In essence, you are resetting the spawns for a large number of Pokémon at once, improving your chances of catching one every time. Setting up a picnic, packing it away, then searching the area repeatedly will probably lead you to a shiny Pokémon.
There may be a few hiccups in the route. It is more difficult to identify Shinies in the open world because Scarlet and Violet don't play a distinctive chime when you encounter them. Additionally, a lot of Pokémon are rather little, therefore their shiny form may resemble the creature's basic form. (With Pokémon like Buizel and Gastly, this is the case.) Additionally, if the epidemic occurs somewhere you can't set up camp, say on a mountaintop with a slope, you might not have a chance.
Still, it's ridiculously simple. It took me less than 30 minutes to complete from beginning to end. I didn't utilize a sandwich to increase my rates and I didn't have the Shiny Charm. I didn't need to get ready. All I did was travel to a Larvesta epidemic, kill 60 people, then set up and tear down my picnic four times until I found a sparkly one. Although I doubt I'll ever be as fortunate again, it serves as solid proof that the method is effective. Just keep going; even 10 picnic respawns will cycle through about 100 Pokémon.
