Beginning at $1200 US MSRP, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB graphics cards are now available at US and UK retailers.
Two vendors are now offering the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB cards for sale. These include LaptopsDirect and Newegg (US) (UK). Given that the RTX 4080 12 GB model was just "unlaunched," both sellers have featured the 16 GB variant. As a result, buyers won't have a difficult time telling the card apart from the two cards with the same name but vastly different performance.
Starting with the PNY XLR8 Gaming VERTO GeForce RTX 4080 cards, which are available in both non-OC and OC versions, the Newegg listings. The non-OC form of these machines is listed with a starting price of $1199.99 US, while the OC variant is anticipated to sell for a little bit more. Although both cards have been displayed, there is no pre-order button, and customers will only be able to make purchases on November 16th.
Three Palit GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards are available from the UK store LaptopsDirect in GameRock and OmniBlack variants. The costs range from 1449 pounds to 1529 pounds. The price of the least expensive model converts to $1682 US, which is a 40% premium above NVIDIA's MSRP. The price is so high for two reasons: one, this is only a preliminary listing; and second, UK shops also include VAT, which is around 22% for the area. So, it ought to be sufficient justification for the increased price.

- Palit GeForce RTX 4080 GameRock - 1499.97 Pounds

Specifications for the 16 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
In comparison to the previous version, which offered 80 SMs or 10,240 cores, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB graphics card is anticipated to use a scaled-down AD103-300 GPU architecture with 9,728 cores or 76 SMs activated of a total of 84 units. Due to its condensed architecture, the RTX 4080 could only have 48 MB of L2 cache and fewer ROPs than the complete GPU, which has 64 MB of L2 cache and up to 224 ROPs. The graphics card is reported to feature a peak clock rate of 2505 MHz and is anticipated to be based on the PG136/139-SKU360 PCB.
In terms of memory, the GeForce RTX 4080 is rumored to have 16 GB GDDR6X capabilities that are rated at 22.5 Gbps via a 256-bit bus interface. This can deliver up to 720 GB/s of bandwidth. This is still slightly slower than the 760 GB/s bandwidth provided by the RTX 3080, which has a 320-bit interface but a meager 10 GB capacity. To compensate for the decreased bandwidth, NVIDIA may incorporate a next-generation memory compression suite to compensate for the 256-bit interface.
